On behalf of our Client, we are seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic Senior Accountant to join their highly motivated and talented team, in a permanent full-time capacity. Whilst the Head Office is Ballarat based, the firm does have offices in Melbourne, however some days of the week will need to be based in Ballarat, by negotiation.

The Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
At least 5 years prior experience in Accounting with a strong academic track record;
Exceptional communication skills and leadership qualities to motivate and engage a small team;
A high focus on providing excellent client service;
Excellent time management and attention to detail;
A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others;
A strong work ethic and initiative; and
Commitment to further training and professional development.
Your Background:
5+ years’ experience in an Accounting practice;
Degree qualified and working toward, or preparing to work toward, obtaining CPA status;
Ability to identify how to maximise returns for clients and be able to understand deductibility of certain items;
Previous exposure to accounting and tax software; strong skills in using MYOB, Xero and Intuit QuickBooks will be highly regarded.
