Client Visit: Pumpa Manufacturing

We recently visited our client Pumpa Manufacturing in Swan Hill to check how business is progressing, discuss the numbers and future plans.

Based in Swan Hill, Pumpa design and manufacture semi trailers for the transport industry, and are renowned for their engineering capabilities, quality of workmanship and reliability.

During our visit we joined the broader team, as management presented the current performance and future plans for the business. PPT Senior Accountant Thomas Elford said: “Management are very transparent with their team and you can see this has a significant impact on staff engagement and the company’s vision to produce high quality equipment.”

As a business, Pumpa continually invest in improvements to their manufacturing facility, staff, systems and processes, which all contribute to delivering a quality end product.

We work with PPT throughout the year, on a needs basis, relating to the general accounting questions and practises, like coding, purchasing, invoicing. We then we come together as a management team via an online Zoom hook up, and report monthly on the financials, sales results and strategy. PPT have a very keen interest in our day to day and the challenges we face.  This intimate approach drives open forum discussion, which allows management to continually steer the ship and make considered business adjustments

We then meet face to face on a Quarterly basis, and are able to drill down further because of our regular open and frank analytical discussions, finding root causes and scenarios to move the business towards the strategic plan.
