PPT Team takes to the MCG
The Stadium Stomp is a major fundraiser for the Leukaemia Foundation, who conduct research into treatment and cures for Leukaemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma and related blood disorders and also provide support to people affected by these disorders, and their loved ones. The PPT team raised $560 for the Leukaemia Foundation.
The PPT Stomp team have been in training since early January, with weekly stair climb training being completed early on Saturday mornings, in addition to gym sessions and running. The whole team took on the full course at the MCG, which comprised over 7300 stairs on the lower and upper levels, with all team members successfully finishing.
In addition to raising funds, the PPT Stomp team also reaped the benefits of increased activity since commencing training – which is an important facet to leading a healthy lifestyle when their working days are largely spent sitting down.
The members of the PPT Stomp team are very grateful to their families and work colleagues for supporting them, particularly those who travelled to Melbourne to support them on the day.
