Team Profile: Brent Olszewski

Recently we caught up with Brent Olszewski, a Representative of PPT Financial, who takes care of PPT client’s personal and business insurance needs, such as life insurance and income protection plans. Born and bred in Ballarat, Brent has been with the firm for nearly 10 years.

What made you choose the accounting and finance industry?

I’ve always enjoyed economics, ever since I was young I used to go through the share section of the newspaper weekly with my Pa. In reality, I had little choice as anyone who has seen my “tradie side” can attest!

What experience do you have in the industry?

I initially had 3 years of accounting experience, which provided me with plenty of insight on tax planning. In addition, I have been in the financial planning industry for 7 years, of which the last 18 months has been spent in the personal/business insurance division of PPT Financial.

Do you have any particular areas of interest/specialty?

I enjoy working with families to ensure that their financial and lifestyle goals are not compromised in the event of injury, illness or death. It’s really about giving our clients peace of mind, knowing that their family’s future is safe and secure if something doesn’t go to plan.

What keeps you busy away from work?

I am currently treasurer of the Lake Wendouree Football Club. In addition, I enjoy watching most sports and getting away fishing when possible.

Are you married? Do you have any children?

Have been married to my wife Trudy for just over a year now and looking forward to starting a family in the future.
