Team Q&A: Fleur Morrison

This month we catch up with Client & Team Administrator Fleur Morrison. After growing up in Ferntree Gully at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, Fleur moved to Ballarat in 2001 and now considers herself an ‘honorary’ Ballaratian. Fleur joined the PPT team in 2019.

What do you enjoy about your role with PPT?

Every day is different and I enjoy the variety in my work. One day I can be assisting in reaching out to clients to gather information, the next I am helping to set up new companies, or liaising with the ATO on behalf of our clients. However, most of all I enjoy working alongside my team.

What roles/organisations did you work in prior to joining PPT?

I am originally from a hospitality background and was a decent barista in the day, if I don’t say so myself! Then I decided to pursue a different career path in administration. I worked for 7 years in another Ballarat accounting firm before joining the PPT family.

Are you involved in any local community groups or sports clubs?

Not directly, although I do back local businesses where I can to support my community.

What keeps you busy outside of work?

I like to knit baby blankets that are then distributed to hospitals, underprivileged families and children at risk. I also enjoy pottering around in the garden, some restoration and painting and eating out (especially burgers and donuts!).

What is on your wish list this Christmas?

To spend ‘real’ time with my family – sadly, it has been a long time since we have all been able to get together because of COVID. A holiday in the Bahamas would also be wonderful.

Name your perfect holiday destination?

I was planning on going to Hawaii but unfortunately, due to COVID, it didn’t go ahead. I would also like to continue my mission to visit all the Disneylands around the world – that would be fun!

What TV series/podcasts are you into right now?

I am quite into podcasts and like ‘The Junkies’ and ‘Some How Related’.
