Team Q&A: Jayden Borninkhof

We recently sat down with SMSF Accountant Jayden Borninkhof. Born in Melbourne, raised in Gippsland and now settled in Ballarat, Jayden joined the PPT team in July 2025.

What is your role with PPT, and what do you enjoy most about it?

I’m an SMSF Accountant – I enjoy this role because I get an insight into the different types of investments that self managed super funds can invest in, exposure to different types of clients from different industries and all walks of life. Plus, I think most accountants enjoy a certain degree of number crunching and I get plenty of that when processing self managed funds.

Did you work elsewhere before joining PPT?

I got my first job out of university at SJ Butler as an Accounting Graduate and stayed there for over five years. After a very brief stint with Future Accounting Group, I have now settled in here at PPT.

Do you play any sport? Tell us about that.

Not currently, but I used to play Aussie rules in high school, and I was in a junior ten pin bowling league when I was a bit younger. Not to brag, but I bowled a 194 game at 12 years old!

What would be your perfect destination this summer?

It doesn’t really matter where, just as long as it’s with family, friends and good times.

If you could invite any five people to dinner, who would they be?

I do like my music so I can only think of musicians right now! Kurt Cobain, Keith Moon, Lemmy Kilmister, Cliff Burton and Joey Jordison.

What podcast or TV show would you recommend right now?

I’m rewatching The Sopranos at the moment and that is always good.
