Team Q&A: Tom Robinson
As the financial year draws to a close we caught up with Lending Assistant Tom Robinson. Born in Swan Hill, Tom moved to Ballarat to attend Federation University and liked the place so much that he decided to stay in Ballarat. Tom joined the team in February 2021.
What is your role with PPT?
My current role with PPT is as a Lending Assistant, supporting Ben McDonald.
What do you enjoy about your role with PPT?
I enjoy the opportunity to work alongside great people whilst assisting our clients with their lending needs. There is always something new to learn within this industry which I’ve really enjoyed so far and each day presents new opportunities and challenges.
What roles/organisations did you work in prior to joining PPT?
Prior to joining PPT I worked for a company called Concentrix, providing customer service for one of their superannuation clients. Before this I had been at University for five years undertaking business studies.
Are you involved in any local community groups or sports clubs?
I’m not heavily involved with any groups or sporting clubs at this stage, however I do enjoy getting over to Bungaree each weekend to watch my brother play football.
What keeps you busy outside of work?
I spend my time outside of work dabbling in gaming and watching sports, mainly basketball and Formula 1. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and wrestling with my 6-month old Border Collie puppy.
If you could play any sport at the elite level … what would you do?
I’d be a F1 driver for McLaren (look out Daniel Ricciardo!).
What TV series are you into right now?
I’m currently re-watching the TV series Entourage, but also enjoy watching all of the US-based real estate shows.
