Ben McDonald joined PPT as a lending assistant in 2019 before becoming the Manager of the Lending Division in 2022.

Ben brings a strong foundation in finance built across both banking and mortgage broking. He began his career at Bank of Melbourne, developing a background in financial services before transitioning into mortgage broking.

Since joining PPT, he has built a broad lending practice spanning residential home loans, investment lending, business and commercial finance, and SMSF lending. His position within an accounting firm gives him a distinct advantage, with a familiarity with self-employed clients and their unique borrowing needs, as well as first-home buyers, investors, and business owners.

What sets Ben apart is his commitment to transparency throughout the lending process. For purchase clients, he takes care to ensure every associated cost of the property journey is clearly understood from the outset. For those refinancing, Ben provides a comprehensive summary of total cost benefits so clients can make fully informed decisions, focusing not just on the rate, but on the overall financial outcome.

Ben keeps a close eye on the broader economic landscape and lending market, and enjoys helping clients understand how changes in interest rates and government policy can create new opportunities. He believes there is rarely a bad time to explore what may be possible.
